About Drummers Link

At Drummers Link we believe learning music is better connected.

Hey there.

My name is Cameron Stewart-Mathews, founder of Drummers Link.

When I was a young drummer, learning music often felt like a solo mission. The motivation to practise wasn’t always there. And my breakthroughs were mostly celebrated alone.

I didn’t know a single drummer my age… even though there was probably dozens in the same town!

So in 2020, during a time of global disconnect, I founded Drummers Link.

Our mission

Our mission is to make sure every drum student knows another drummer who is on the same learning path as them.

It started out as regular group ZOOM calls during lockdown, hosting games and quizzes, and getting students to perform to each other what they’d been learning that week.

We now host awesome social events so our drum students can connect, chat and hang out. From bowling trips to laser tag, our drummers always have the best time!

Being devoted to creating amazing experiences for our music students both in lessons and in life, we have managed to grow one of the most exciting and unique services in Northampton for music lovers!

We’d love for you to come and find out for yourself.

Playing in a band

We recently put forward a selection of drummers to perform at Showdown Festival, which took place at Saxon Hall in Northamptonshire.

This event hosted live bands made up of students ranging in ages from 10 to 70 years old. We put groups together and then individually taught the students the music in private lessons before going into full rehearsals, lead by pro musicians.

On the day, the students experienced a properly crewed stage, lighting and sound engineers, photographers and videographers and had the support of 300+ audience and family members!

We’re involved in this festival twice a year, as well as other similar events throughout the year…. and you could be too!
