Drum Instructor
Davin Eadie, one of our newest members to join Drummers Link Music Schools faculty, has a unique background in performance. Davin graduated from drama school in 2008 and started his career as a full time actor. Appearing mainly in theatre, as well as some TV and film work, he is no stranger to a live audience.
Davin first came to be playing the drums after auditioning for a role which required him to at least look and sound as if he knew how to play. A two week crash course of daily lessons turned into an obsession! He even managed to convince a few members of the audience that he knew how to drum, which he certainly didn’t. Fast forward to today, and a lot more lessons and even more practice, he feels confident in his ability and would love to revisit that role and really show off what he has learnt.
Having come to drums and learning a musical instrument later in life, Davin has a distinctive advantage to relate to the whole learning process; In fact he is still actively pursuing his own grade 8 certificate. This enables him to understand the frustrations of an adult learner, trying to find time in their busy schedules and all the blocks they encounter right through to our younger students who may have more time and are eager to learn but just might need that energy focused in the right direction.
Currently steering our adult groups to achieve their goals he looks forward to imparting his love and passion for the drums to the younger members too. With performance at the heart of his teaching, creativity and the skill to express this outwardly are the drivers to make that possible for all students and Davin believes we all have the ability to express our individuality through this beautiful and truly wonderful instrument, we just need to learn how.

Drum Teacher
Ian is a drummer and educator who focuses on helping students feel confident, included, and genuinely excited about learning music.
Since 2022, he has worked in schools and youth settings across Northamptonshire, supporting students at all stages — from those picking up drumsticks for the very first time to young drummers building skill and independence. Ian’s lessons are welcoming and structured, with a clear focus on helping each student feel successful, supported, and motivated to progress.
He places a strong emphasis on timing, musical foundations, and understanding how drumming really works. Rather than simply copying patterns, students are encouraged to listen, think, and connect the dots, helping them build confidence and a deeper relationship with the instrument over time.
Alongside his teaching, Ian is an active live performer and session drummer, regularly working with churches, events, and UK artists. He brings this real-world experience into lessons, giving students valuable insight into playing with others, developing musical awareness, and performing with confidence — all while keeping learning enjoyable and accessible.
