Since opening our doors, Drummers Link Music School has grown into a thriving musical community, trusted weekly by over 175 local families. What began with group drum classes has evolved into band programmes, live performances, workshops, and opportunities that help young musicians learn, connect, and grow together.
Our weekly piano lessons in Northampton give children aged 6–13 a fun, social way to learn. Students learn in small groups while developing their playing, musical understanding, creativity and confidence.
Built on the same values that have made Drummers Link trusted by over 175 local families, our piano classes combine expert teachers with the internationally recognised KeyNotes curriculum. Whether your child is completely new to piano or already has some experience, they'll enjoy lessons that are creative, engaging and designed to build confidence from their very first session.

At Drummers Link, we've licensed the internationally recognised KeyNotes curriculum to deliver group piano lessons that are imaginative, engaging and designed for today's young musicians.
Children don't simply learn songs. They discover how music can tell stories, express emotions, solve challenges and build confidence. Every lesson combines playing, listening, games, creativity and performance, helping students develop excellent musical foundations while genuinely enjoying the journey.
Because lessons are taught in small groups, students encourage one another, celebrate each other's progress and experience the fun of making music together from the very beginning.
PIANO LESSONS FOR AGES 6-8
Every great musician starts with imagination.
The KeyNotes Storytellers programme introduces younger children to piano through stories, characters, emotions and musical adventures. Rather than simply learning notes, children discover how music can create excitement, mystery, happiness and adventure, making every lesson feel like another chapter in a story.
Through games, songs and carefully structured activities, students naturally build excellent piano technique, rhythm and reading skills without lessons ever feeling repetitive or overwhelming.
Children will develop:
Strong piano foundations through fun games and songs
Rhythm, coordination and confident technique
Music reading at a pace that's right for them
Creativity, imagination and musical expression
Confidence through playing alongside friends
PIANO LESSONS FOR AGES 9-13
Learning piano should feel inspiring, not like homework.
The KeyNotes Play programme is designed specifically for older beginners, giving students more ownership of their musical journey while keeping lessons social, challenging and enjoyable.
Every student progresses at their own pace with music that's engaging for their age group. Challenge options within each piece mean beginners and faster learners can enjoy playing together, allowing everyone to experience success while continually developing their skills.

Piano Class Monthly Fees
Our regular monthly fee of £82 (inc. VAT) is based on 39 weeks per academic year. Billed on 1st of every month.

BEGINNER IN SEPTEMBER. PERFORMER BY MAY.
Register your child for piano lessons this term and their journey won’t end in the lesson room.
By May 2027, they’ll be performing on stage at The Picturedrome.
Over the months in between, they’ll learn new skills, grow in confidence and discover what they’re capable of, all building towards one unforgettable moment.

Unfortunately parents are not able to stay and watch. We have limited space in our studio and it can be distracting for other attendees when parents are watching.
