Summer is all about fun, sociable new experiences! We have all of that lined up for you.

Join our group music activities at Drummers Link Music School, guaranteed to get your child buzzing about their new skills and new friendships.

With four themed classes on offer, you can choose to attend the same theme once, twice or more. For the more inquisitive learner, you can mix and match any combo of themes.

No minimum obligation, just book what you like!

    Drummer's Playground

    Dates: 2nd, 11th, 20th August

    45 minute drum class at Drummers Link Music School, themed on “Drummer’s Playground”.

    Drummer’s Playground offers the most variety, flexibility, and creativity of all our themed sessions. Each class will dive into a mix of mini-topics based on the group's interests — from stick tricks and spin-the-wheel song choices to speed contests and more. With a more free-flowing structure than our usual classes, Drummer’s Playground gives students the chance to explore, experiment, and have fun with drumming in a whole new way.

    Rock Classics

    Dates: 4th, 13th, 19th, 23rd August

    45 minute drum class at Drummers Link Music School, themed on “Rock Classics”.

    Rock Classics celebrates the golden era of rock music, diving into the iconic drum parts that shaped the sound of a generation. Each session will explore legendary grooves, fills, and songs from some of the greatest rock bands and artists in history. With a mix of technique, style, and raw energy, students will experience the power of classic rock drumming while building their skills and having a blast behind the kit.

    BandMates

    Dates: 5th, 6th, 14th, 21st, 25th & 26th August

    45-minute drum class at Drummers Link Music School, themed on “BandMates”.

    BandMates gives students the full band experience, with opportunities to try out other instruments, collaborate with fellow musicians, and learn how songs come together. Each session will focus on building teamwork, creativity, and musical confidence as students jam, compose, and perform together in a fun and supportive environment.

    Modern Pop

    Dates: 7th, 9th, 12th August

    45 minute drum class at Drummers Link Music School, themed on “Modern Pop”.

    Modern Pop is a high-energy session where students dive into the beats behind five of today’s biggest pop songs. From slick grooves to punchy hooks, we’ll break down the rhythms that power the charts and keep fans dancing. This session is perfect for drummers who want to sharpen their skills, explore current styles, and enjoy playing along to the music that’s shaping pop culture right now.

💷 Pay-As-You-Go – Each class is just £20, with no monthly direct debit required.

🥁 Themed Classes – Each session has a unique focus, so there’s always something new to try.

👥 Small Class Sizes – With a maximum of 5 students per class, you’ll get plenty of personal attention and space to play.

🕒 Mix and Match – We recommend attending a variety of sessions, however you can attend the same themed session multiple times and still learn something new!

FAQs

  • No, not at all! Our summer sessions are designed to welcome people from all over Northampton to join in - regardless of whether you take lessons elsewhere or you’ve never played before.

  • Don’t worry, these are optional classes that you can choose to attend. We won’t focus on regular class content in these sessions, so there is no pressure to attend. This is just for fun over the summer!

  • Unit 314, K2 House Business Centre, Heathfield Way, Northampton, NN5 7QP.

  • Just like your regular classes, we’ve made these classes age appropriate, and for the benefit of everyone we will stick to the age restrictions.

  • This is discretionary, and we will do everything we can to make the classes inclusive. If you have concerns relating to your/your child’s participation in these classes then please notify us.
